Course Description
Join us for an engaging, hands-on skill session centered around technical rescue! Refresh your knot tying skills, further your understanding of mechanical advantage, and remind yourself of the importance of planning and communication during intense rescues in this 2 hour clinic with Cordillera International at Idaho River Sports! *Idaho River Sports is offering 1 free beer with your registration! Topics covered include: - Pre-trip planning and essential equipment - Hydrology and effective river communication/signals - Whitewater swimming practice & drills - Throw bag techniques - Wading/shallow water crossings, foot entrapment - Knots, anchors, mechanical advantage, boat pins - Raft rigging, flip drills - Zip-line crossings, more complex rescue scenarios Cordillera's courses are taught for boaters, by boaters. We strongly believe that curriculum should always adapt to fit your needs. Come witness your rescue skills skyrocket and have fun while doing it! Certifications provided by the American Canoe Association.
Course Days
Cancellation Policy
Full refunds are only issued if requested 21 days ahead of the course start date. Clients will be given an 80% refund if requested at least a week prior to the course start date, or at anytime if requested due to severe illness/ injury or for a family emergency. No refunds issued after course begins.
